Culture: As the Project Implementation Engineer in Spoor you'll be joining an ambitious, collaborative, diverse, and purpose-driven team, to help define the future of wildlife monitoring, biodiversity reporting, and best practices for reducing adverse biodiversity impacts.
Role: We are looking for a Project Implementation Engineer that will design, deliver and support our complex integrated camera based monitoring systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Scope and plan hardware deployment at new sites
- Decide on camera placement, taking field of view, site coverage and other practical aspects into account
- Source the most suitable hardware and plan the backlog/inventory, in collaboration with suppliers
- Understand limitations in client connectivity and power supply, and design and execute solutions
- Continuously improve the processes and standardize ways of working
- Take ownership beyond the scope, handle issues and find ways to prevent this from happening in the future.
- Build relationships with offshore and onshore camera installers
- Interface with the client side and be the single point of contact for technical project configuration and implementation
- Implement inventory strategy, and lead relationship with camera suppliers
- Stay up to date with different connectivity options and camera technologies
- Work with the tech team to understand the effect of the hardware on the quality of the results
Your experience and skills may include:
- Passion for growing business/supplier relationships
- Work experience with industrial cameras is a bonus
- Experience with offshore industries is a bonus
- Relevant bachelor's degree or 3+ years of practical experience
- Thrive working in high-paced, innovative environments
- Professional standard spoken and written English, additional languages are an advantage
